Passionate About Inspiring Others
My name is Priscilla Graham born of Felicia Fay Graham she was a native of New York City where I was born. Her mother was louis Graham, and she was one of the backbones of the family that I wish we still had. I was born in 1984 I guess many would say “that was the good old days. As a young girl around 7 or 8 I was taking from my mother by Department of Children& Family Services and put into foster care. Soon after my aunt Odessa Bloomfield lived in Brooklyn in east New York where I lived until moving to Waterbury, Connecticut where I end up living until 14.
Connecticut was ok but I always felt I was missing something while living there. As I got older, I was very rebellious because I blamed everybody around me for not understanding what I was going through without expressing myself. My aunt kept us in counseling for the longest it felt like eternity. I'm not a person that used to expresses my feelings to someone through talking, they had to literally pull it out of me, or I had to write it out, I didn’t care what type of paper it was I would right it out and throw the paper away, but I felt some type of relief because I finally got it out. The reason why I love to write is because one day my counselor said to me “I see you don’t like to speak I know what you can do, I want you to write, I don’t care when or where just write how you feel on any giving moment or day.” So, I did just that!
Living in Connecticut gave me a sense of organization, but something was missing, my mom. I was with my aunt, but I was missing a part of me that I needed to know for myself. so, I ran away and went back to New York at 14 I knew I could not stay in Connecticut no longer and I ran right to my aunt, Stephine My aunt took us in without a quarter nor a plan; how many people can do that nowadays not many! I took what I learned from my aunt and applied what my aunt Stephine taught me and put that all together and boom! you had someone unstoppable but of course life happens and I end up going back into foster care this time I went to a Lady name Theresa, I think we were in so many ways alike and we just couldn’t deal, I came from two tough as nails type of women and then here she comes another tough one so of course here comes the rebellious young woman plus the “you can't tell me nothing because your not my family” attitude, I was still miss something which I needed I needed really bad and after living in Staten Island I moved to the Bronx at 16 with the one and only person I thought could fill this void my... Mother. I knew for sure this was going to be my journey to happiness, I didn’t know what I would have to go through to get to that happiness; that’s why I'm here to share with you all that nobody can fulfil your happiness, but you! Im here to help you stay on the right path, i believe in counseling therapists and all but I wish I had a person that had walk in my shoes just for a while and coached me into a better life not try to diagnose me with a problem that could have been cure just by allowing me to be me. Life taught me how I had to get up everyday and provide peace and love for me and my two children I got through my obstacles and I'm here to coach you into doing the same with NO JUGEMENT! Now let me help you move on to your new chapter in life.
